Origin

Burgundy, France where the wine is known as White Burgundy. It is the second largest variety of wine behind Cabernet Sauvignon. It is thought to be a cross between Pinot Noir and Gouias Blanc from Croatia.

Tasting Notes

Chardonnay is an extremely versatile but low acid grape that retains different flavors depending upon the climate in which it is grown and the treatment it receives in the wine cellar. Our climate produces more apple and pear flavors. We make ours in dry styles. The 2022 release is unoaked, and the 2023 is lightly oaked.

Pairings

Unoaked styles go well with lighter seafood while oaked styles can often pair with heavier seafood like salmon or crab and white meats such as chicken and pork loin.
