Origin

Vidal Blanc is a hybrid grape created in France to withstand the local cold winters of Western France. It is no longer an authorized grape in France, but it does well in the cool Canadian climate down to the Mid-Atlantic states. It’s versatility and flavors are reminiscent of Rieslings.

Pairings

Vidal Blanc doesn’t have strong aromas. It’s light fruitiness pairs well with dishes of seafood, cheeses, and back porches.
